This Communication and Documentation Officer role with ActionAid International is just the opportunity you are looking for.

 

The Women’s Right to Sustainable Livelihoods 2 project is a five year multi-country project funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project aims to increase the income of 21,000 women in Ghana, Rwanda, Bangladesh and Pakistan and their ability to control their income, through practicing Climate Resilient Sustainable Agriculture, accessing markets and reducing, recognising and redistributing Unpaid Care Work.

 

As Communication and Documentation Officer you will support the project’s aims and policy and advocacy goals by taking responsibility for devising and implementing an effective communication and documentation strategy. You will ensure communication planning is in line with our mission, values and strategy and that work meets policies and brand guidelines. Day-to-day you will draft project-relevant blogs, capitalise on opportunities for external media engagement and prepare case studies and media stories to illustrate the human face of the project. You will also monitor effectiveness and share learning to improve performance. In addition you will help build the capacity of teams by providing technical training, coaching and support.

 

Educated to degree level you must have experience of leading communications aimed at engaging the public and influencing decision makers. You will be skilled at writing effectively for a range of audiences and must have been involved in content production, use of social media and commissioning photography/video. Committed to promoting women’s rights, you must also be able to operate across functions and have excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.

The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) is currently inviting highly qualified graduate and undergraduate students to apply for its 2016/17 ICT scholarship. The scholarship offers Tanzania students the opportunity to obtain degrees in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and related areas. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and interview to be conducted by the Scholarship Panel.

The Scholarship covers all university direct cost (tuition fees etc) and all student direct cost (meal, accommodation, book and stationary allowance, field practical training, special faculty requirement etc) for duration of the course, provided that they obtain good academic performance. The scholarship amount has been set based on average cost of fees and other costs for the students in public universities. Bank Teller

The incumbent that we are looking for will be responsible to collect deposits in form of cash and cheques and to pay out cash to customers promptly and cross sell NMB products efficiently.

 Core Responsibilities:

Ensure that daily cash summaries are checked and day’s cash transactions are properly in line with set performance targets.
Count cash deposited (accurately) and ensure that it is correctly entered in the computer system or manual ledger.
Ensure that cash, withdrawal forms or cheques presented are always paid to customers strictly in line with established procedures.
Ensure that collected cash calculations are correct, and withdrawal forms and cheques presented are accurate.
Manage the supply of cash by ensuring withdrawing cash from the strong room at the start of the business and ensure that it is deposited back in the strong room at the end of the business.
Attend customers’ queries, fast, with confidence whenever asked.
Ensure high level of customer service.
Up and cross sell NMB Plc products.
Seek approval from supervisor on payments that exceed his/her specified limit.
Report any fraudulent behaviour to the supervisor.
Ensure that government cheque and other cheques presented by customers to the supervisor for special clearance with BOT or other banks are timely attended.
Perform other duties as directed or assigned by his/her superior.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

Must be a holder of University Degree/ Advanced Diploma or Diploma holder (with two years working experience in financial institutions).
Computer literate with skills in Word-processing and Spreadsheets.
