Looking for a financial leader for a fast growing manufacturing business
Our client DIPC is a bottling company based in Dodoma. Their construction of the new bottling facility is nearing completion. It will enable production of various beverages utilizing 3 bottling lines. In addition to new manufacturing space, a new administrative office adjacent to the plant is being built, which will house all management personnel including the Finance manager. DIPC is directly related to the Dodoma Christian Medical Center and has been established to provide future support for the ongoing operations of the hospital.
DIPC wishes to employ a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors.
Job purpose:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial and accounting aspects of the business. This includes establishing protocols, financial reporting, tax compliance, and general financial management. A person who is skilled and able to work with other management personnel to maximize returns is essential.
Roles & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Advising the Directors, CEO and Board of Directors in the United States on the financial implications, of business/ project activitiesLeading the design and implementation of the structure of financial resources and all financial operations of the companyActively managing company cash flow on a daily basis and generate relevant cash flow projections and forecastingMaintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and project budgets and actual expendituresParticipating in the Operational Review meetings and represent the finance division in those meetingsCollaboratively developing operating policies and procedures, improvement programs and management systems for the attainment of objectives of specific projects and the companyActing on behalf of the CEO when required
Requirements
Qualification and experience required:
IntegrityCPA/ACCA, a degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantageFluent in Swahili and English, Italian is an added advantageAt least 5 years post CPA financial management experience with P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility in a commercial environmentStrong operational experience in finance, preferably in manufacturing and processing entitiesStrong financial management and profit maximisation skillsStrong treasury and cash management backgroundExperience in dealing with cost management and optimizationExperience with initiating and leading improvement programs, developing and implementing strategic plansThe ability to set priorities and escalate situations timely when neededThe ability to balance listening and learning with speaking up and convincing the management and board of a different view when the situation requires soStrong stakeholder management and relationship skillsStrong knowledge of financial compliance and governance requirementsAbility to work in a multi-cultural environmentAbility to work successfully under pressureCompetitive compensation, established by the Board and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
